Free Node.js 24 server: EACCES writing /home/container

Hello Wispbyte support, My new free server Mochi Kitty Space (support tag ae3bb73e), on node FREE EU RO 08, cannot install its dependencies. Node.js 24 reports: It also cannot write npm logs under /home/container/.npm/ logs. The process exits with code 243; the console reports Out of memory: false. Startup command: Application files and a saved SQLite database were uploaded through the panel. Could you please fix the volume ownership/permissions for the container user, including the existing data/ directory and SQLite file? Please preserve all files, environment configuration and saved data; please do not delete or reset the server. Thank you!

This looks like a permissions problem on the server’s mounted files, not an out of memory error or a Node.js 24 dependency issue. Since npm can’t write either or its logs under , changing the install command is unlikely to fix it. 1. Avoid reinstalling or resetting the server, and don’t delete or the SQLite file. 2. Contact Wispbyte on Discord and ask for the container volume’s ownership/permissions to be checked while preserving your files. Include the node name, support tag, and console error. 3. Avoid repeated restart attempts until the permissions are addressed.
