Does Free Node.js Hosting Support FFmpeg for a Discord Music Bot?
Posted by razifmaulana in discord-bots.
Hello Wispbyte community, I plan to host my Node.js Discord music bot, GG Music, on Wispbyte's free hosting plan. The free server configuration shown on the creation page is: 512 MB RAM 1 GB storage 35% CPU Before creating the server, I would like to confirm a few things: 1. Is FFmpeg installed and available on free Node.js servers? 2. If FFmpeg is not preinstalled, can we install it or use a bundled FFmpeg binary? 3. Is 512 MB RAM and 35% CPU enough for a basic Discord music bot? 4. Are audio streaming and common Node.js music bot dependencies supported on the free plan? I will run only one Discord bot on this server and comply with Wispbyte's rules. Thank you for your help!
