EACCES on /home/container: server runs as user 999, folder owned by root
Posted by mgk in general.
My server MGK Central (support tag a3895f86) crashes on startup. /home/container is owned by root, but the server runs as user 999. npm cannot create node modules and fails with EACCES on mkdir. Could someone change the ownership of /home/container to user 999, or tell me how to do it from the panel? Thank you.

means the process can’t write to its files. You can’t change ownership from the panel, and containers don’t provide root access for . 1. In Startup , choose Reset to Default and save. 2. In Files , delete and if present, then start the server again. If it still fails because is root owned, share the node name and console output from Start until the error (remove any tokens). That needs platform side attention. Startup settings
