GitHub cloning never completes

Issue: After adding the details for a GitHub repo, the application prompts you to clone the repo. clicking the clone button opens a modal that goes through a series of 2 to 3 processes before freezing. What is shown in the attached image was my view for 5+ minutes Navigate: server general GitHub clone (button) Token used: classic with repo scope Repo is private Please let me know if there is something I may have missed
