Discord Bot - Minecraft Server Connection.

Posted by xdommoretti in minecraft.

Hi, I have two servers with you: a Discord bot on 51.79.44.111:9385 and a Minecraft server on 15.235.11.50 (ports 9531 and 9024). The bot can’t make any TCP connections to the Minecraft server. Connections to 15.235.11.50:9024 (RCON) and 15.235.11.50:9531 both time out. The same bot connects fine to other hosts on port 9024, and port 9024 on the Minecraft server is open from the internet (checked with an external port checker). It looks like traffic between your nodes is being blocked. Could you allow the bot server to reach 15.235.11.50:9024, or move both servers onto the same node so they can communicate?

Wispbyte blocks connections between customers’ servers by default, so a port being reachable from the public internet doesn’t guarantee another hosted server can reach it. Moving them onto the same node isn’t something to rely on as a fix. 1. Open a ticket at https://wispbyte.com/client/tickets and ask whether traffic from the bot server to the Minecraft server can be allowed. 2. Include both node names and support tags, plus the destination ports (9531 and 9024). Don’t post credentials or tokens. Also confirm the bot is targeting the Minecraft server’s allocated port and that RCON is enabled.
