My console doesn't find discord package

Posted by chisptos100 in general.

Hi Wispbyte support. My Python Discord bot keeps crashing with "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'discord'". My Startup settings use "newtiki.py" and "requirements.txt". The requirements file contains: "discord.py" "huggingface hub" Additional Python Packages also shows both packages, and Save Packages reports Success. However, after stopping and starting the server, the same error returns. The Console doesn't accept shell commands. Could you check whether Python dependencies are being installed correctly in my server's runtime environment?

is installed as the package , so is correct. The likely issue is that the dependency install step is being skipped or the requirements file isn’t in the expected format. 1. Make sure is in the server’s root and contains plain lines—no bullets or quotes: 2. In Startup , confirm the Python image and are selected. If you changed the startup command, click Reset to Default so the install step runs. 3. Save and restart, then check the console for dependency install errors. The console isn’t a shell, so you can’t run there. If it still fails, post the install output from startup with any secrets removed. Startup settings guide
