Unable to create free PostgreSQL server — port allocation error

Posted by user_fco3gi in general.

Hi! I'm trying to create a free PostgreSQL server on Wispbyte, but every attempt fails with the following error: Could not assign a port. Please try again in a moment. I've tried refreshing the page and creating the server again, but the error persists. The selected runtime is PostgreSQL, and my account shows 0/1 free servers used. Could you please check whether there is an issue with port allocation or availability on the free hosting nodes? I've attached a screenshot of the error. Thanks in advance!

This looks like a temporary free node port allocation failure, not an issue with your account’s free server limit. There’s no matching outage posted, so try: 1. Wait a few minutes, then retry once. Keep the server name simple and leave the optional description blank. 2. If it keeps failing, try again later; free node capacity or available allocations may be temporarily constrained. 3. If it still fails after a while, post again with when you tried and the screenshot, or ask in the Wispbyte Discord. More creation troubleshooting: Server Won’t Start or Connect.
