Discord bot not responding — node IP rate-limited

Posted by user_l0w02h in general.

Hello! My server DJ Studio, ID 4c674753, displays the warning “Discord is rate limiting this node’s IP.” The bot is online, but clicking ticket buttons results in “The application did not respond.” Is there a solution available on the free plan? Can my server be moved to a node with a different outbound public IP, or do I need to wait until the restriction expires? Thank you!

The warning means Discord is rate limiting the node’s shared outbound IP. On the free plan, servers can’t be moved to another node or given a different IP, so you’ll need to wait for the restriction to clear. 1. Avoid repeatedly restarting the bot or retrying logins; that can extend the restriction. 2. Check the console for Discord 429 or Cloudflare 1015 messages and the rate limit countdown. 3. Once the restriction clears, test the ticket buttons again. If they still fail, check that your bot acknowledges each interaction within Discord’s 3 second deadline.
